Lincoln van Nanning

Lincoln van Nanning

"Lincoln van Nanning" was born at 6:50 p.m. on May 10th, 2011!! It was a text book delivery...every aspect was as it should be!! Regina began nickering to her foal almost immediately – the bond was happening. Within an hour Lincoln worked those LONG "stilt" legs and got up. He is filling out nicely and learning how to use those stilts!! We plan on taking Lincoln to the Largest Dutch keuring in North American.

Nanning, Lincoln's sire is a statuesque 17 hands tall – one of the tallest approved stallions in North America. Back in the mid 2000 he won the champion ribbon in his prestigious stallion competition. As determined by the FPS, Nanning 374 received permanent breeding rights due to his proven record of consistently producing foals of the highest quality. In June of 2007, Nanning came to Mackinac Island for a unprecedented photo shot! The last time that a Stallion was on Mackinac Island was over 54 years ago! Nanning's photos on Mackinac Island have been showcased around the world - showcasing the statue of a magnificent stallion and the beauty of Mackinac Island, where the Horse is King! Unfortunately, Nanning passed away in June of 2010.

His legacy now lives on in his offspring - including Lincoln van Nanning….. the product of two outstanding Friesians who graced Mackinac Island – bonded together thru Lincoln!!
